As a certified Counselor and Instructor, PsiChi member, Dr. Luz has taught Psychology and Cross-Cultural Studies. She has provided mental health assistance for individuals and families throughout her career and led many workshops on Sexuality, Self-Esteem, Love, Parenting and  many more.

Dr. Luz has written for  a bi-weekly column called "La Prensa" Newspaper as well as leading a radio show (1030 AM) "En Familia con la Doctora Luz".

Aside from being President and founder of  Latinas with Purpose, Dr. Luz is also the Owner and President of "Discover Passion with Dr. Luz"

Born in Leon, Guanajuato and lived in San Diego almost all of her life,  Ana considers herself to be bi-national and bi-cultural.

"I’m a single mom, I’m a daughter, I’m a sister, I’m a friend.  What I stand for in life is people being bigger than what they know themselves to be.

My contribution to people is inside of love and generosity, causing a transformation in the world through leadership."
